In this post, you’ll find our review of a eco friendly toy – Playper’s Curious Kingdom. We were recently gifted Playper’s Curious Kingdom Castle play set with Story Starter cards and wanted to share our review!
Here’s a little spoiler… you’ll want to add this STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Technology) eco friendly toy to your radar. Consider it for future birthday presents. It’s also great for holiday gifts or even classroom activities. This set provides a kingdom full of endless curiosity, imagination, and fun!

We received the Castle Playset and the Story Starters: Storytelling Cards. We also got a free application download for even more creativity, imagination, and learning. This will enhance our storytelling adventures!
Castle Play Set:
The Castle play set includes:
- punch cards with instructions to build a 3-level castle and 7 delightful characters,
- props and accessories like trees, a reversible rug, treasure chest, a functional drawbridge, etc.
- Magic Sticker sheet with stickers that come to life with the free app,
- Fix-It Shop sticker sheet,
- building instructions, and
- a story line for all the characters.
We were excited to feel this sturdy eco-friendly toy!
Story Starters – Storytelling cards:
The Story Starters: Storytelling cards include 40 total story starter cards. There are 7 character cards, 26 object cards, 6 location cards, and 1 blank card. Each one provides limitless opportunities for adventurous and imaginative story telling!
These cards are great for vocabulary development. They are also excellent for educating children in storytelling’s art and joy. They enhance critical thinking, problem solving, and social interactions. All of these are important in the development of STEAM based cognitive skills.

Free Download for Curious Kingdom:
The free application (called ‘AR Toys: Curious Kingdom’ in your App Store) offers imaginative learning opportunities. It provides STEAM-based learning for young children in a technology space. The additional augmented reality stickers are so fun and adorable to use with the application!
Do you recommend Playper Curious Kingdom Castle play set?
100% YES!
This set provides extremely creative and imaginative opportunities for STEAM based play!
My little civil engineers and architects LOVED building the castle and all of the characters. They also enjoyed arranging the characters around the castle to begin their storytelling adventures! The instructions were easy to follow. Playper also has step by step video instructions on their website to help with the build.
They have also really enjoyed expressing their creativity and imagination to build stories and solve problems that the characters encounter.
Playper provides a great balance between hands on and technology type play for young children.
Young children (ages 3-6) will love using the free application! They can practice counting, matching, and problem solving through a few unique stories. In addition, they’ll practice hand-eye coordination and memory skills all while boosting their confidence and self esteem!
It’s sustainable, eco-friendly, extremely durable, and enchanting!
Before we received the set, I was skeptical of how sturdy this play set might be. Our experience with eco-friendly toys hasn’t always been the greatest. They usually fall apart easily. They often have dull, unimpressive colors. The PlayperBoard™ is really impressive! We love the durability and enchanting illustrative elements. Our set has already survived numerous weeks of play and moves around the house!

My 7 year old –
“It’s very very fun! It was challenging to build the set but I loved working on it with my sister and my Mom. I love making my own stories the most!”
My 9 year old –
“It was really fun to build the set and once you’re done, you feel a sense of accomplishment – like you built and designed the set yourself!”
