What is BYJU’s Learning App featuring Disney?

BYJU’s Learning App featuring Disney is a children’s learning application for your iOS, Android, Phones and Tablets.  It brings a customized learning experience to children in grades Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 3.  The guided learning adventures in the app help build skills through activities, video lessons, and quizzes.

What is included in BYJU’s Learning App featuring Disney?

The BYJU’s Learning App featuring Disney includes over 1,000 educational activities of video lessons, read-along stories, and quizzes for children in grades Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 3 in math, language and reading, and science.  The educational activities feature both Disney and BYJU’s own characters.  Each grade level covers specific skills to help kids master foundational learning concepts in their grade.  Profiles can be set up for up to 3 users in the family at different or the same grade levels.

BYJU also included parent features in the app where a child’s progress reports can be viewed.

Do you recommend BYJU’s Learning App?

I would recommend checking out the app to see if it works for your family.  I found my Pre-Kindergartener skipping over the learning videos many times because she wanted to interact more with what was happening on the screen.  For example, during a counting activity in one of the videos, she wanted to physically touch the items on the screen during counting instead of the characters in the video counting them without her assistance. In another video on building a house, she wanted to draw the lines on the screen herself rather than watching a video of the characters doing it.  I love highly interactive apps for children that work on many different skills, including motor skills and hand eye development (which is why I love Osmo products so much).  I felt that the app fell short in that area.  However, I am hopeful that future updates to the app will include those elements.

Even with that said, BYJU’s Learning App is fun for children. My daughter loved it. I love how the learning videos help reinforce many foundational learning concepts for children and that the quizzes align with those same learning concepts.  The app features favorite Disney characters from Frozen, Cars, Toy Story and more, which really engaged my children, and it is easy to use.   I love the read-along stories because they highlight the words while reading. The parent feature in the app is also easy to understand and determine a child’s learning progress.

As for my child’s thoughts,

“I really like it. I mostly like the games but the videos are fun too! I like watching the Disney characters and the other characters.” – my 4 year old.

As you can see, she really enjoys the app and feels like she is having fun learning!

Have you checked out this new learning app? If so, what were your thoughts? Let me know in the comments!
