Do you have lots of crayons that need to be recycled? You can recycle them yourself in a fun new useable shape! Crayons are made out of paraffin wax. When heated, the wax reaches its melting point and melts into the new shape of the mold you choose. Once they harden... ta da! A new crayon shape!
What a better way to enjoy Valentines Day than with chocolate covered strawberries??? And even better, use it as a science project to teach kids about phase transformations and melting points. (This was also a great project for gross and fine motor skill development as well as learning to follow instructions.)
